The Assignment:

Make it easy for consumers to understand who Orajel is and how Orajel can help them address their full range of oral care needs. Promote Orajel as the trusted authority for oral care needs from teething to adult. Move consumers from information consumption to trial.

The Approach

We had three sites we were combining into one as well as multiple personas all using the site differently.  As both the creative director and the designer of this site, I focused on the navigation while creating a visual language that would help users navigate the site. We also determined that the site needed to be responsive which added to the complexity of the menus.

We had many ways for the user to find solutions in this site. You could search by adult or child. You could search by products, with sub categories of ailments.

Both the adult and child sections of the site had many categories of products. It was about creating a usable site that allowed the user to search how they wanted to without feeling overwhelmed by the content.

This menu is an example of how we allowed the user to search for products by age and symptom. In the adult section we added strength of product as well.
